Why We Upgraded Our RV Hoses — And Won’t Go Back

We replaced our traditional hoses with Kohree hoses, and we never looked back!

When Should You Replace an RV Water Hose?

You don't need to replace camping gear simply because it's a few years old. If your RV hose is working well and remains in good condition, keep using it.

But there are several signs that it's probably time for a replacement.

Cracks or visible deterioration
Bulging or bubbling in the hose
Leaks around the fittings
Damaged or corroded connections
A hose that has become extremely stiff
Frequent kinking that restricts water flow
Persistent odors or off-tastes in a drinking-water hose

Make an End-of-Season RV Gear Check a Habit

This may be my biggest tip from this entire post:

Don't wait until your first camping trip next season to discover something is broken.

At the end of each camping season, take a few minutes to inspect the equipment you've been using all year.

Check your:

Fresh-water hoses and fittings

Outdoor extension cords
Camping chairs and outdoor gear

As I go through everything, I ask three simple questions:

Is it damaged?
Is it worn out?
Does it annoy me every single time I use it?

Yes, that third question counts!

If something never works particularly well, replacing it with something better can make next year's camping trips easier.

Toss what's worn out. Repair what can be repaired. Replace what needs replacing. Clean and organize everything else before putting it away.

Then when your first camping trip rolls around next season, you're ready to go.

Why End-of-Season RV Maintenance Matters

There is nothing worse than arriving at the campground, starting your setup, and realizing something you need is cracked, leaking, broken, or missing.

And the problem usually isn't that we didn't know something was wearing out.

It's that we noticed it on our last camping trip, told ourselves we'd replace it later, packed everything away—and forgot about it.

An end-of-season RV maintenance checklist gives you a chance to take care of those little problems while they're still fresh in your mind.

I've been camping long enough to know that a little preparation at home can save a LOT of frustration at the campground.

Are Kohree RV Hoses Worth It?

For us, yes.

Traditional RV hoses served us well for years, and I'm certainly not suggesting that you throw away a perfectly good hose just because there's something newer available.

If yours is working well, keep using it.
