Roundabout RV Resort Review: A Fun-Filled Weekend in Oxford, MS

Roundabout RV and Water Resort in Oxford, MS is a great destination for  all ages!

If you’re looking for a weekend getaway that mixes relaxation and nonstop family fun, Roundabout RV Resort in Oxford, MS is a gem. We spent a weekend there with friends and loved how much the resort offered—seriously, you could stay on property the whole time and never run out of things to do.

We loved the check in process!  They have wide lanes and are very organized and ready to handle lots of traffic!

Easy start: the app makes check-in a breeze

Right off the bat I loved the resort’s app. You can book your site, keep up with daily activities, and see scheduled events all in one place. It’s a simple feature that makes planning and getting into the weekend so much easier—especially when you want to be where the action is quickly.

Our buddy sites were plenty wide and had a large common area between our campers!

We enjoyed this set up for meals and enjoying evening sunsets.

Buddy sites = best setup for groups

We picked a Buddy Site (sites 49A & 49B) so we could share a big common area with our friends. The sites are large, paved, and each has a fire pit and grill—perfect for evening hangs and easy cooking.

One small downside: our site backed up to the bathhouse and laundry. A few campers used our space as a shortcut to get to the facilities. It was a tad annoying, but more a matter of poor manners by others than a problem with the resort itself.
The water activities were so much fun for us during our stay.  This was the highlight of our trip!

There is a large lazy river, water slides, a pool, splash pad and hot tubs!

Water fun for everyone

The water area is the resort’s crown jewel. Highlights include:

  • Zero-entry pool — great for littles and easy entry
  • Lazy river — perfect for slow-floating afternoons
  • Water slides and splash pad — huge hit with kids (and adults!)
  • Hot tubs and a separate adults-only pool — a thoughtful quiet zone for grownups

Pro tip: don’t skip the slides. Even we (the grown-ups) went down multiple times and had a blast—definitely a kid-at-heart moment.

There are multiple stops for frozen drinks, snow cones, as well as pizza and quick food options!
They have a well stocked camp store with plenty necessities and souvenirs.

Food, drinks, and convenience

The resort has on-site food and a swim-up bar with frozen drinks—so you can grab something quick and get back to the fun. The combination of easy food options + the app’s event listings makes it effortless to plan your day without leaving the property.

And when you are finished with the water activities, lounge around with a game of corn hole or the jumping pad!  Or just relax and enjoy the sun!
The action doesn't stop here.  They also have putt putt golf, pickle ball and an exercise facility!

Activities beyond the pool

There’s so much more than water. On-site you’ll find:

  • Pickleball courts & basketball
  • Putt-putt golf and corn hole
  • Jumping pad and an arcade
  • Fitness center, campground store, and a large community room
  • Scheduled crafts and events (our son made a tie-dyed T-shirt—such a fun souvenir!)

Everything is walkable, and the kids enjoyed biking around the campground independently while we relaxed or hopped between activities.

With cottage rental options, anyone can enjoy this fun resort!

Not an RVer? No problem

If you don’t have an RV, Roundabout also offers cottages—so anyone can enjoy a stay. Whether you bring your RV, family, friends, or a crowd, this resort handles it all.

The bath house offers a clean spot for washing clothes.
They also have nice, clean and spacious bathrooms and showers.

Final thoughts

Roundabout RV Resort is a fantastic spot for a weekend full of water-based fun, thoughtful adult spaces, and a ton of activities for kids. We didn’t do everything the resort offered, but we did enough to keep everyone happy—and the kids loved the independence and variety of entertainment. It’s absolutely worth the drive to Oxford, and it’s already back on our list for next year.
