Love's RV Stops Review

Our family has started to do more RV travel and take longer trips.  These long trips require overnight stops from point to point many times.  For quick, overnight stops, we are looking for somewhere that is close to the the interstate or highway with good amenities.  A couple of years ago, Love's Truck Stops began having RV hook ups at select locations.  I have been curious about these spots for a while and recently tried it out!  How did it go?

We loved our stay at Love's!

Love's RV Stops Review

Love's already has lots of amenities that appeal to RV travelers.
  • Bulk Propane
  • RV Dump Stations
  • Dog Parks
And now, they have added RV hook ups to select locations.  You can find a list of all locations at their CampLife site.  With over 30 locations nationwide, check out their availability before you plan your next big adventure.

We tried out the Love's RV Stop at Holly Springs, MS.  They have 5 RV spots at this location, and they seem fairly popular.  I only wish we had more availability of these stops on our travel adventures after our stay.

The hook ups are well marked and maintained.  We were settled in for the night in no time!

Perks to Staying at a Love's RV Stop

If you are making a quick overnight stop, Love's RV Stops is the way to go!
  1. They are located right off of major highways and interstates to make it easy to get on and off the road.
  2. Fill up with gas with one stop for everything.  We did this upon arrival our first night so that we could just head out the next morning.
  3. Sites are clearly marked and easy to get backed into for your stay.  I backed into our spot solo without any help.
  4. You have full use of water, electric and Wi-Fi.  Plus, we had access to the dump station on site.
  5. But, if you decide not to hook up, you could use the showers and bathrooms at Loves easily!
  6. Need to do laundry?  Its right there too overnight.
  7. Plus, you have access to the store for food and other items, the dog park, and propane if needed.
We had  spot right next to the grassy area that our dog enjoyed while we were hooking up to leave in the morning.

It's a one stop shop for spending the night and having every amenity needed on the road.  Plus, we felt safe and secure there as well!  The staff where we stayed were super helpful and friendly when checking in.  Great stay.  I would do it all over again in a minute!

While spots where a large parking spot, no complaints from us.  I backed into our spot easily on my own because it was wide enough and clearly marked.

Things To Know Before You Go

I didn't think that had any problems while staying at Loves.  However, I think you should know a few things ahead of time.
  • Every Loves has their sites set up a little differently.  The one where we were were just large parking spots where you back in and stay.  There is not a ton of room.  So be courteous of your neighbor and aware of the space that slides take up.  It was not a problem for us.  But you need to be aware.
  • Gas stations and truck stops are busy and loud places.  If you are sensitive to noise, you may not get a good night's sleep.  Again, we were fine.  We were tired and slept like a charm.  Plus, its just like having all night white noise and is okay!
  • There is a lot of traffic and people coming and going.  We didn't feel scared or unsafe, but I also didn't want my child milling around in the parking lot solo.  This is not the place for that.  Keep an eye on your kids and pets.
  • When you book your site online, keep your confirmation email.  It has a link to check in to your site upon arrival.  This is much easier than checking in through the kiosk.  But both work and are not an issue.
We loved our stay at the Holly Springs location.  I cannot say enough good things about it.  I know that this type of overnight stay is not for everyone.  But price wise, it is a great value and so easy.  It is comparable to RV stays at locations that are farther off the road that have similar or even less amenities.

There was not a ton of room between spots.  But, it also worked perfect for us.

The next time you are on a long journey, give Love's RV Stops a try.  We loved waking up and walking over to the store to grab a quick bite and some coffee.  But, you can always enjoy breakfast in your RV just like you would at any other campsite.  It is a convenient option that I hope will continue to expand.  I'll be a repeat customer when the opportunity arises.

If you have stayed at a Love's RV Stop, I'd love to hear from you.  Feel free to drop me a line or leave a comment.  Ask any questions that you might have as well.  We have camped all over and always love a new adventure.  This was one that made everybody happy!

Be sure to check out some of the other fun places where we have camped.  I keep a Camping Map that shows you many of the campgrounds where we have stayed with full reviews.  Maybe you will discover a new favorite!

Until next time...
